About the role:
Delivering essential services to the community and region, our team manages the operations and maintenance of water networks and assets. SA Waters Field Services team is looking to appoint a Field Technician based at our Cleve Depot.
Due to our responses times with getting to our customers as soon as possible, we would ideally be looking for people who reside in this local area or willing to move to the Cleve area.
This role is responsible for undertaking field-based preventative and corrective maintenance, along with responding to emergencies and reported faults in an efficient and professional manner. Working in the great outdoors, getting your hands dirty and interacting with our customers through better ways of using technology, will support quality outcomes. Critical to this role is the focus on ensuring WHS, environmental and water quality obligations are achieved.
About the Person
An ideal candidate will bring strong problem solving and communication skills, coupled with the ability roll their sleeves up and deliver outcomes for our customers. Proven safety awareness and capability of putting safety above all else.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- White card is required
- Previous experience using powered tools and plant equipment
- Tech Savvy and able to learn new technologies
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call roster and provide 24/7 support as per business needs. (On-call allowance and overtimes rates for call outs)
- Valid Drivers Licence will be required
- Any additional trades and tickets will be highly desirable
- You will also receive a generous location allowance on top of your salary.
