About this Opportunity
AVK Industrial has an opportunity for a day shift Maintenance/Valve Technician Mechanical Assembler to join us at our Adelaide Plant in a permanent full-time position.
In this position, you will work closely with other assemblers to connect components and construct our valve products. You must be able to read drawings and know how to use a variety of hand and power tools.
We prefer candidates who have Mechanical Assembly experience.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for Mechanical Assembly in preparing our products for supply. This includes;
- Mechanical Assembly of valves, actuation, and accessories
- Assembly of extension fixtures, sensing devices and protection elements
- Assembly of instrumentation, regulators, and other components
- Work with other assemblers and external contractors to create a final product.
- Test and inspect components for consistency and quality.
- Log your productivity.
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment and fault reporting.
- Ensure work orders are completed and filled out correctly.
- Following AVK policies, procedures, and values
Day shift hours are 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
About you:
We are looking for a candidate who is confident and can work without supervision. To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and skills:
Skills and Experience
- Experience with Valve / Actuation beneficial
- Mechanical trade qualification an advantage
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read drawings.
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Experience in fault finding
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably valves and actuation.
- Have valid driver's license.

Salary for this role will be negotiated in line with skills and experience.
