About the job:
This is a fantastic opportunity for people who have proven capabilities in field sampling techniques using analytical instrumentation. This role involves travelling to sampling locations throughout the Western regional areas in SA. You will work closely with the Senior Field Technician to ensure that services are performed with agreed turnaround times and testing criteria, meeting required standards. This role is based in our Port Lincoln depot.
Your responsibilities for this opportunity include:
- A strong focus toward workplace health and safety
- Deliver sampling and field analyses and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery
- Perform accurate and timely sampling and field analysis to meet contractual obligations and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to reviewing sampling routes and sampling methods performed and make recommendations to the Senior Field Technician and make changes as directed
- Sound knowledge of WHS practices and requirements for field and laboratory work
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Science and/or extensive relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in lab information management systems, NATA and ISO quality management requirements, processes, and procedures
- Sound knowledge in water sampling and field analyses within a fast-paced commercial testing environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to transfer technical information effectively
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- It is a requirement of this role to hold and maintain a current and valid driver's licence at all times and be able to drive a manual vehicle
