AWCON is an Australian leading Civil Construction business in the mining and heavy industries sector. With stable growth and long-term existing contracts, we are seeking a suitably qualified Fleet Foreman to provide technical and functional support to our onsite fitters and key personnel to ensure Mobile Fleet reliability and availability is upkept.
About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for, and possess the following abilities to assist in maintaining AWCON’s and associated clients Vehicles and Plant items.
- Be self-driven with experience in managing workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to working on remote sites and the associated constraints
- Be a team player with a positive attitude and communication skills
- A focus on safety in the workplace and ability to identify and implement continuous improvement
- Technical knowledge to track time and effectively mentor site based fitter crews
To be successful you will possess the following
- Proven experience in planning and resourcing along the ability to implement systems and maintain KPI’s
- Ability to compile compliance reports to provide to key stakeholders for review
- A relevant Mechanical trade qualification
- Excellent computer skills with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Excel
- Experience in mining applications with a mixed fleet operation
- Current Driver Licence
- Construction White Card – or willing to obtain
