As our Financial Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of our finance functions in this senior yet hands-on role. From payroll to invoicing, accounts payable to reporting, you'll have full control and oversight, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
We're looking for someone who can work autonomously yet be a team player, who can think and operate at a senior level while being willing to roll up their sleeves and dive into tasks when needed. You'll manage no one but yourself, with the freedom to shape the role to make it your own.
To be successful, you'll need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a similar, varied, end-to-end finance role within a consulting or service-providing business
- Solid experience overseeing end-to-end payroll, including interpreting Modern Awards and knowledge of PAYG and superannuation legislation
- Xero experience is a must!
- Exposure and use of ADP would be desirable, but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail, with proficiency in Excel
- A positive can-do attitude and the ability to prioritize tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and the ability to think outside the box
