The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager (FP&A), the Finance Analyst will be a key member and contributor to developing the organisation’s Commercial Analytics, Revenue and Cost Analysis for the sales, finance and investment teams by analysing variances, macroeconomic factors, cost of sales and revenue. With a strong focus on financial data reporting through business intelligence tools, and stakeholder engagement, this role will see you responsible for providing commercial insight and strategic advice across the business.
Key Duties will include:
- Provide periodic reporting on sales, revenue, costs & variances (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Implement and develop systems/processes to improve analysis of operational & profit data for reporting purposes
- Provide analysis of historical & forecast financial information including the assessment of forecasted results
- Contribute to the overall budgeting/forecasting process
- Work closely with the Executive Committee & Upper Management on providing commentary on variances, trends and insights on your findings
- Work collaboratively with the team on any potential software changes, development of policies and procedures

The ideal person will hold tertiary qualifications and have advanced accounting knowledge & analytical skills. A commercial mindset underpinned by strong financial acumen is required to solve new/emerging problems within the team.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- CA/CPA qualifications complete, or in progress (or intending to start)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for improvement
- Business partnering experience
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for business improvement, automation, data analytics etc.
