Your New Opportunity:
An excellent full time, permanent opportunity exists for a Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team based at our Wacol, National Parts Distribution Centre where you will support the parts supply chain team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Process all local freight invoices from approved PDC carriers within agreed terms and DOA ensuring correct cost received and allocate to correct business unit applying freight recovery where applicable;
- Ensure current freight rate tables and accuracy of information in the freight management system (IFS);
- Coordinate the utilisation of contracted nightly freight carrier service for inbound purchased goods;
- Assist with preparation and analysis of RFP's and review of service level agreements of contracted carriers;
- Develop/maintain dashboards and scorecards to allow review of freight vendor performance and costs / freight recovery analysis for all shipments of parts into / out of the PDC by transport mode;
- Coordinate the inbound schedule of local vendor deliveries to ensure consistent flow of incoming goods into the PDC.
- Monitor importation shipments updating arrival dates in ERP system (IDS), report and communicate weekly to stakeholders;
- Provide assistance with freight quotations selecting best cost/transit time to meet business and or customer requirements;
- Coordinate the freight bookings for export shipments, work with the freight forwarder, warehouse, inventory & customer service teams as appropriate;
- Process Duty drawbacks with assistance from our freight forwarder.
About You:
- Certificate or Diploma in supply chain, logistics or similar substantial industry experience;
- Knowledge of inbound / outbound domestic & international freight arrangements
- Knowledge / back ground in inventory management or supply chain operations
- Ability to read, comprehend and summarise policy documents
- Strong analytical mind with ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to analyse situations and communicate meaning to the business audience.
- Proficient user of MS Office suite of tools to build reports and present information
- Willingness and ability to work with computer operating systems
- Communicate effectively with others - the ability to work as part of a team and has a commitment to being a team player.
