We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Finance Business Partner onsite at our Burleigh Heads retail ready facility where we slice, prepare and flavour finished goods for retail customers.
Reporting to the Group Finance Operations Manager, this role will primarily focus on driving financial performance and strategic decision-making at BFG. You will collaborate closely with various departments, providing financial insights, analysis, and support, thereby serving as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders. Your role will bridge the gap between finance and the operational functions of our organization.
In this role you will:
- Build relationships and collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and establish regular rhythms for engagement.
- Proactively advise on financial issues and make recommendations to address them.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify opportunities to optimise performance and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Develop meaningful KPIs and dashboards to track performance metrics and support informed decision-making.
- Build financial models to evaluate certain scenarios and assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
- Implement best practices in financial processes, reporting and analysis to drive organizational excellence and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Group Finance Operations Manager on GL & P&L forecasting.
- Partner with Accounts Payable and Financial Accounting to identify process improvements and contribute to month end processes.
About you:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- You have proven experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role, ideally within manufacturing or agriculture.
- Your strengths include excellent communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and stakeholder influence across all levels.
- You have a strong understanding of operational expense (OPEX) trends.
- You can interpret complex financial data and have strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- You are a strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- You are proficient in financial software (ideally Xero) and are an expert user in Excel.
