Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue Centre Perth with fortnightly, overnight, trips to Fortescue's Western Hub site in the Pilbara.
Roster: Monday to Friday
Reporting to the Superintendent Capital, the Management Accountant will assist in leading the development, reporting, and consolidation of the Western Hub's Capital portfolio to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a large portfolio of high-value, business-critical projects
- Business partnering with the site and corporate teams to effectively achieve financial performance
- Coordination and delivery of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for GM review and approval
- Financial reporting and analysis to support multiple departments and identify and drive value-adding opportunities
- Working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making
- Coordinate and deliver month-end close, including monthly journal postings, reconciliations, and ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications and Experience
- CA/CPA qualification and 3+ years of management or financial accounting experience
- Detailed working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
- Experience in Mining and or Construction is desired but not essential
- Proactive, confident, and self-motivated with strong analytical and engagement skills
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with numerous stakeholders and competing demands and deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation while delivering on organisational values
