THE OPPORTUNITY
About the role:
- Oversee and manage all AP, AR and payroll, as well as bank accounts and corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Working with construction project teams to budget, forecast and process cost transactions.
- Month end processing of accruals and prepayments.
- Company overhead budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
- Preparing monthly P&L, BS and Cashflow statements.
- Regularly reviewing debtor and creditor control accounts, debtor collection.
- Assessment of financial position and capital opportunities.
- Managing credit applications and supply agreements.
- Look for system efficiencies and create opportunities for automation where possible.
What you'll need to succeed:
- 5 years minimum relevant experience preferable - construction related field is a bonus.
- Competent with the Xero accounting platform.
- Relevant tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
- Sound computer skills, especially MS Excel.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, with a positive mindset, who listens and works well within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight timelines.
- CA / CPA (preferable but not essential).
