- Lead and manage TIQ's Financial and Procurement risk management and governance practices, including financial budgeting and forecasting, fraud and corruption and data governance and developing contemporary solutions to mitigate emerging risks.
- Provide strong, motivational collective leadership to a high performing team, fostering a professional environment which encourages commitment to ethical behaviour, skills development, and continuous improvement.
- Champion Finance and Procurement considerations and collaboration opportunities on cross-cutting initiatives or actions that impact multiple teams.
- Lead the development of Finance and procurement operational plans and monitor and report against performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain performance standards and service expectations for the finance and procurement teams, working collaboratively with operational teams and other corporate service teams to deliver an exceptional customer service experience.
- Provide high level strategic analysis and policy advice to the TIQ Board, Audit, Finance and Risk Management Committee, CEO, and members of the Executive Leadership Team on all aspects of financial management and procurement.
- Develop contemporary finance and procurement strategies to facilitate innovative service delivery solutions across the agency's operations, considering current and emerging business realities, opportunities and threats, contribution to preparation of business cases
- Maintain contemporary financial and procurement policies and procedures, ensuring they are right sized for the agency's operations, balancing competing objectives of minimising financial risk and red tape.
- Lead and manage the continual improvement and development of the Finance and Procurement systems in partnership with managed services partners and other corporate service functions.
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of sector and industry trends to assist identification of innovative solutions to improve service delivery and/or reduce agency risks.
- Lead the development and implementation of Finance and Procurement projects and business information management systems that lead to significant improvements in business capability and outcomes.
- Oversee outsourced service provider and contractor arrangements to ensure service delivery and project objectives against agreed standards are delivered on time and within budget.
