Finance Manager

Exciting opportunity to join this leading Queensland Data and Communications business as the Finance Manager at a time of growth. With a focus on operational financial management and control, including payroll this is a genuine permanent opportunity and is based on the north side of Brisbane. You will enjoy a dynamic working culture and add genuine value in supporting the current team and the additional 15-20 members joining across 2024. Your financial analysis and control will impact key business decision-making.

The Role 
Reporting to the Head of Operations the responsibilities of the role will include, 

• Tracing business trends and analysis of financial data including detailed cashflow reporting
• Preparation and management of a complex Payroll e.g under an Enterprise Business Agreement
• Review and establish improved processes, procedures and internal controls 
• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis, job costing and analysis of pricing and profitability
• Partner with Operations to prepare budgets and forecasting
• Project financial support and reporting
• Business partnering with key internal and external stakeholders 
• Assist in ways of working on improvements

About You 
The successful applicant will have/be,

• A Strong understanding of accounting principles and well-developed analytical skills
• Experience in control and management of Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Experience of complex payroll conditions and processing
• Experienced in the use and management of the Xero Accounting Platform
• Working knowledge and experience of the SimPro Trade Business Management Software
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills 
• Attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills and overall familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft SharePoint

Desired:

• A relevant Tertiary qualification, CA or CPA
• Process orientated
• Construction Industry experience
