About the role
We’re on the hunt for a Lending Operations Manager to oversee and drive the document preparation and settlement process for home loan applications. You’ll do this by leading a team of home lending support professionals to deliver efficient and accurate processing of loans to enable a strong level of service to our brokers, first party lenders and members. The team will also largely provide administrative support, including documentation and verification requirements in line with lending policies and procedures.
As the leader of this function, you’ll also be responsible for ensuring that SLA’s are met, compliance obligations are adhered to and consistent and open communication channels with our mortgage brokers are maintained. In addition to this, you’ll also be responsible for the Home Loan Delivery function and providing support to our Home Lenders, all while implementing strategies to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
You’ll work closely with the Third Party, Business Development Managers and Regional Managers, Home Lending and pass on feedback in regards to broker & lender submissions; and ensure ongoing support and development for our Home Loan Advice team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Broker and first party lending activity reporting, performance and communication regarding loan application progress
- Assisting with the processing of broker and first party originated applications
- Broker and first party lender file management from application to settlement
- Effective management of home loan application mid-point review process for broker and lender originated loans
- Managing and promoting a risk-based culture and providing support and advice to the Broker Support and Home Loan Delivery team
- Overseeing the Broker and Home Loan Delivery inbox and distribute tasks
- Developing process improvements to continue to deliver a high level of service to brokers and first party lenders as business expands
About you
We’re seeking a result-driven individual with a passion for Lending Operations. In order to be successful, you will have the below attributes:
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Highly competent in providing excellent customer service to stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Real Estate Lending Practices together with appropriate skills, knowledge and experience gained through industry experience.
- A strong understanding of credit risk and how to effectively operate within the risk appetite
- Proven experience in leading teams and effective change management
- Competent in the use of loan origination systems and Microsoft products
- Knowledge of financial institution business practices.
