Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the financial services operations of the partnership, with a focus on accounting and ensuring tax adherence.
- Prepare various statutory reports for partnership, trust, corporate entities, and conduct audits of AFSL licensee companies.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including filing income tax returns for partnership, service trust, and related corporate entities.
- Generate monthly management accounts, conducting regular analytical reviews and comparing performance against budget targets.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the finance team and oversee the overall finance operations of the firm.
- Monitor and manage cashflow, providing detailed reporting and analysis as necessary.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor the firm's bank debt position.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Finance Partner to manage year-end processes effectively.
- Handle ASIC compliance obligations for associated entities.
- Manage administrative tasks and process insurance claims for the firm
About You:
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable position, ideally within a professional services firm
- Proficiency in using an integrated professional practice system (ERP), such as MYOB Advanced or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of Australian tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Proficient problem-solving abilities, adept at transitioning between systems and reporting methods
- Strong leadership capabilities, capable of effectively guiding a small team where collaboration is pivotal
- Effective prioritisation skills, combined with a positive demeanor
- Exceptional organisational skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive approach
