Full time opportunityWork in the beautiful WhitsundaysAccess to a range of Employee BenefitsAbout the RoleThe Finance Manager Whitsundays has responsibility for the oversight and delivery of a full range of financial management services to the SeaLink Whitsundays business including the following products/brands:
- SeaLink Whitsundays products (including contracted revenue streams); and
- Red Cat Adventures and Whitsundays Jet Ski Tour products.
This role will have responsibility for providing expert financial advice, with a focus on budgeting, business management, monitoring of financial results, reporting and financial training and capacity building.As part of the leadership team, the role will be responsible for providing input to and monitoring the relevant business plans with an emphasis on financial management.
About YouIdeally, you will have an appropriate qualification in accounting or a related discipline, supported by membership of either the ICAA or CPA Australia. You will also have an excellent understanding of accounting practices and their application, along with superior numerical ability and advanced Excel skills.To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Experience contributing to the planning and execution of organisational strategy and decision-making
- Strong experience in delivering financial management support and services in a commercial environment (preferable travel/retail)
- Strong understanding of associated legislation, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Strong capability in stakeholder management across all levels of the organisation
- A high level of self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously
- Commercially astute
- Excellent problem solving, trouble shooting and decision-making skills
- Good time management skills and ability to effectively multi-task
- Excellent organisational and strong project management skill
Previous experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems would be highly regarded.
