About the role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for the delivery of a range of specialist financial planning and analysis services that will support key business outcomes.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading the small clinical costing team in the analysis of cost structures (includes operational expenses, supplies and labour costs)
- Partnering with business line managers in the preparation of business plans and budgets
- Monitoring budgets and prepare financial management reports including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow statements
- Providing expert analysis including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling and commentary of operating results and make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement and
- Participating in the development of short and longer-term financial policies, objectives and plans and overseeing their implementation
Who we’re looking for
- Advanced proficiency in financial applications including MS Excel and BI tools.
- Strong practical understanding and application of ERP systems, preferably JDE.
- Advanced financial modelling, planning, and analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading a small to medium sized finance team.
- Demonstrated experience delivering financial analysis services within a complex medium to large size health services or related business.
- At least five years post (CA or CPA) accounting experience and
- Tertiary qualifications in an accounting and finance discipline.
