Finance Manager | Construction

MARS Recruitment has partnered with a renowned construction company and is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a finance team and oversee all aspects of the finance department, treasury functions, cash flow management, revenue forecasting, financial modelling, tax compliance, statutory reporting, and maintaining industry standards.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager with expertise in financial control and reporting. The company is known for its high-performance culture and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements
• Manage the month-end close process, review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare consolidation reports
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecast and financial models ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts and provide insightful recommendations
• Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Supervise and mentor the finance team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their roles effectively
• Take a proactive and hands-on approach in resolving finance matters which arises within the team and across the business
• Identify opportunities to improve existing process and implement new process as well as being a key influencer

Criteria:

• 8+ years' experience in financial accounting
• CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent)
• Experience within construction industry desired but not mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
