· SydneyHow will I help?This role is part of the overall CBW Expense Management team, focussing on expense and productivity management of Chief Operating Office (COO) for both functions within Consumer and Business & Wealth Division.
As part the Expense Management team you will support the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful management reporting and external reporting, directly supporting the divisional finance and COO Leadership team with in-depth analysis and commercially focused advice.
This role works closely with COO business leads, COO and Consumer & Business Customer Engagement Finance Business partners and CBW Divisional Expense Management team in supporting variety of activities, including forecasting and target setting, financial modelling, results analysis, commentary, and decision support.Key Accountabilities:
- Production of insights and analysis expense, headcount, productivity, focused on identification of business opportunities and actionable advice.
- Analyse performance against targets and forecast, incorporating key business drivers of results and highlighting performance risks and opportunities to assist decision making.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and other requests (including ASX reporting) and present these to senior stakeholders & Group Finance
- Adherence to the Group's risk, financial control and accounting policy frameworks.
- Development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes, while maintaining quality and reducing risk.
- Embrace and foster a team culture focused on continuous learning, knowledge sharing and driving efficiencies in activities.
- Work in collaboration with finance business partners and key stakeholders to gain insights on performance, prepare targets/forecasts and drive business outcomes.
- Build strong working relationships across the wider finance team to become a key contact for financial performance analysis and insights.
- Provide regular financial updates to wider CBB & Group Finance community, including senior management.
- Relevant tertiary and/or professional qualifications - CA, CPA, or equivalent (Qualified or in progress).
- Builds effective relationships and has a demonstrated background in working with others to achieve outcomes.
- Knowledge of reporting & operational processes, including sound understanding of reporting tools (Excel, TM1 etc).
- Knowledge of accounting practices within the finance industry (including Australian Accounting Standards).
- Ability to translate analysis into insights and commentary.
- 3 years' experience across finance and accounting.
