Halo is seeking a Finance Manager with a touch of IT knowledge or Cyber Risk
As the Finance Manager at halo, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, providing strategic financial guidance, and contributing to the achievement of our business objectives. In this newly created role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse financial data, develop forecasts, and implement financial plans that align with our organisational goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive and analytical individual with a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving results.
In addition to the finance capabilities, you will need some knowledge or a keen interest in IT involvement, and/or cyber risk management.
Key accountabilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Finance department, including the leadership of a small team
- Oversee the cyber risk management responsibilities for the organisation
- Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient operation of the finance function
- Project costing and analysis. Monitor performance in close collaboration with the CEO and the Board.
- Develop an ongoing cash flow forecast including capital requirements, funding needs and capital expenditure.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement the company’s strategic plan. Utilise your commercial intellect to drive results
- Provide analysis / performance insights that aid growth, ensure appropriate resource allocation and / or deliver cost efficiencies
- Develop ongoing budgets and ensure timely board reporting
- Provide regular commentary around variance to budgets and forecasts
Requirements of the role:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CA, CIMA, CFA, FRM, or CPA is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial risk management, financial planning and analysis, and resilience planning.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- A keen interest or proven ability in IT Management or Cyber Risk
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work closely with the leadership team in a constructive and helpful manner.
- Outstanding can-do attitude and a desire to understand the nature of the organisation.
Highly desirable:
