Location: Fremantle and Rottnest Island (commuting), Western Australia
The Management Accountant assists in the development and implementation of the budget framework and management accounting services in accordance with government policy, legislation and accounting standards and proactively engages with the business units in providing financial analysis and high-level specialist advice in relation to budgeting and resource allocation to support the business. The position ensures the accurate monitoring and reporting of financial and operational performance.
The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of internal and external reporting including monthly and annual financial statements, management accounts, Board reporting and State government (SIMS).
- Demonstrated experience in the State Government budget process as well the development of internal budgets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, contemporary accounting practices, systems and standards.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, including computer literacy and advanced user skills in Excel.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to create positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership to an Australian professional accounting body.
