As a result, we are looking for a candidate who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get into the detail / daily financial tasks. However, they should also be looking to take their career to the next level, with potential to grow into a Financial Controller role and build a finance function in the future.
Your Role: As an integral member of our team, you will oversee our financial operations, report directly to the CEO. Your responsibilities encompass the entire finance spectrum, including:
- Manage monthly management accounting process including analysis to inform strategic decision making
- Support the development of an annual budget and rolling forecast process
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Development of KPI reporting and tracking
- Transaction management including financial record keeping, supplier statement reconciliation, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, GST and FBT reporting
- Financial liaison and support and business partnering with the ELT and Genesis Capital executives
- Ad hoc analysis including Grant application assistance, finance transformation projects
About You:
- CPA or CA certification (candidates in the process of obtaining or with equivalent experience are welcome)
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting compliance and governance and applicable accounting standards
- Advanced Excel and system skills (Xero experience advantageous)
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be flexible
- A continuous improvement approach and strong ability to show initiative
- Analytical thinker with a results-oriented mindset
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
