AusHealthhas a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, results-driven Finance Manager to join our team. This position is an opportunity to become an integral part of a national company that supports medical research, improving the health of all.
Research grants and services are funded through AusHealth’s services that include:

- Hospital patient payment solutions
As the Finance Manager, you will manage the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for distribution to management. In addition to this, you will:
- Create and implement the strategies that manage the day-to-day operational activities.
- Ensure that all financial statutory obligations are met within designated timeframes.
- Manage and review account reconciliations, general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare monthly remittances and invoices for Hospitals clients within contracted deadlines
- Assist and/or advise on finance queries raised by customers, suppliers and staff.
- Lodge GST, BAS, payroll tax and WorkCover returns.
- Prepare Year End financial statements in required formats.
- Review budget practices and prepare AusHealth budgets within Board approved parameters.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you must enjoy working autonomously and have well developed interpersonal and organisational skills with a "can do" attitude.
As the successful applicant, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- A strong technical accounting background is considered essential. Candidates with an audit or business service background with at least 5 years’ experience.
- Qualified Accountant
- Knowledge and experience in developing policies and procedures to meet financial statutory obligations that comply with relevant Federal and State government legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing monthly and annual financial budgets.
- Ability to manage and prepare GST, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and WorkCover documentation and returns.
- Ability to institute improvement processes in financial systems and procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills and intermediate Word skills.
- Leading, motivating and developing a corporate services team.
Remuneration will be commensurate to knowledge and experience.
