We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our Finance Team. This is a full time position working from our offices in the scenic township of Windsor NSW.
You role will be to implement and monitor financial system within the business and maintain an understanding of business activity, drivers and key measures.
Role & Key Requirements:- Financial systems management implementation, including continuous development of financial systems and processes, testing of financial systems as required, preparation and maintenance of systems documentation, creating & generating reports.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of both internal and external financial reporting, financial regulatory reporting, statutory reporting.
- Preparation of statutory accounts liaising with appointed external accountants.
- Provide support to management through provision of accurate information including compilation of monthly sales reports and cash flow forecasting.
- Participate and contribute to the strategic management of the organisation
- Maintenance of accounting records to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.
- Preparation and submission of regulatory payroll returns (payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, workers compensation).
- Reviewing and implementing systems and process improvements and implement operational "best practices" .
- Keep abreast of new products/developments and potential impacts on financial reporting.
- Ensure Invoicing of clients is efficient and effective.
- Update and maintain employee records including leave entitlements.
- Provide information on employment conditions including workers compensation payments, superannuation entitlements / regulations, and long service leave entitlements.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- High attention to detail and ability to display initiative and independence
- Ability to ensure compliance with rules, regulations and organisational guidelines and procedures
- Skills and experience in reviewing and implementing systems and process improvements
- Capacity to lead, mentor and develop the Finance team
- Ability to work with customers, staff and / or other key personnel in a constructive and respectful manner.
- Relevant qualification and/or experience financial accounting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to understand legislative and quality frameworks related to business operations / finance
- Experience with accounting systems (MYOB Exo preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including high level Excel skills
