St Philip’s Christian College, Cessnock is looking for a full time Finance Officer to join the team.
What is to focus of this position?
The role of Finance Officer is to contribute to the smooth financial administration of the College by ensuring that your allocated accountabilities are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner.
In this role you will function as a member of the Finance Team. The Finance Team is a highly autonomous business unit. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be involved in many different aspects of the College’s financial administration. While you will have your allocated accountabilities, you will also be required to be flexible in your approach to your role, occasionally taking on tasks outside your field of accountability, if needed.
- Accounts payable
- Managing commercial debtors
- Managing College credit card
- Billing and receipting
- Assisting with the drafting of the College budget, including research, modelling and projections
- Debtor management
- Payroll liaison

8:00am – 4:06pm Monday – Friday (30min unpaid lunch break)
42 weeks per year (stood down some holiday weeks)
Remuneration
$62,000 to $70,000 dependant on the successful candidates qualifications and experience.
Anticipated Start Date
Monday, 27 May 2024 preferred, however, a start date can be negotiated.
