Details: Harrison School is seeking a Finance Officer/Administration Team Leader to supervises and supports the front office team to provide administrative, operational, and financial support to the school community. They will work closely with the Corporate Manager to support the management of the school’s finances and allocation of funding's and lead, co-ordinate and manage workflow of a high functioning administrative team in a busy, dynamic school front office. The Finance Officer/Team Leader will have strong understanding of accounting practices that align with the School Management Manual and Education Directorate policies and procedures. The position also demands high quality customer relations along with an ability to upskill and lead the team in exceptional community and partnership engagement.
This position is suited to an aspiring business manager looking to develop and further a career within ACT Education. The Finance Officer/Team Leader will need to develop an understanding of all administrative functions of a school to enable them to lead the team successfully.

Highly Desirable:
- Qualification in finance or experience in a finance-related role and/or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- First Aid qualification. A First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately to 27 August 2024, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
