Finance Project Officer | 10 Month Contract | $62 p/h Incl. Super- Rate: $50 - $56.00 p/h + Super.
- Contract: 10 Months Contract.
- Location: Parramatta / WFH.
As a Finance Project Officer, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the Operations Finance team’s analysis and reporting accountabilities and priorities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide financial and statistical analysis to support business objectives while ensuring data integrity in compliance with NSW policies, the Public Finance and Audit Act, and other statutory requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide reporting and analysis specific to the team’s role to maintain data accuracy and integrity in various systems related to project cost accruals and project accounting.
- Conduct financial and data analysis to rectify erroneous data entries from Purchase Orders and various systems interfaced with SAP.
- Execute month-end journal entries pertinent to acquisition projects, travel expenses, and P-Cards.
- Facilitate communication through emails and other channels to advise relevant business units
- Support the Director and Manager by providing advice and support to key stakeholders on relevant financial matters to achieve efficiency and strategic outcomes.
- Educate and support relevant business areas to enhance financial capability and improve confidence and accountability in financial decision-making.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including senior managers and service delivery divisions to exchange information, obtain cooperation, and provide financial advice.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to foster mutual development and provide feedback on tasks undertaken.
- Experience in financial accounting, project cost accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Big experience with SAP or equivalent financial systems, and TRIM records management system (preferred).
- Experience in Ariba and any project management system (desirable).
- Proficiency in intermediate Excel including formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
- Ensure financial reporting, analysis, and advice are accurate, reliable, and of high quality to support effective decision-making
