The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our Sydney office. You will play a key role in supporting various accounting functions within our Australian business, reporting to our Financial Controller.

What you’ll do:
- Journal preparation and analysis, reconciling variances, addressing accounting issues and backup in preparation of Joint Venture accounting and Global reporting as required
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for sign off including Fixed Assets, Payroll and Accruals, Prepayments, etc
- Monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances held within the Australian group with international related parties
- Reviewing profit and loss accounts to ensure accuracy of entries
- Assisting the Financial Controller and accountants with general accounting duties when needed
- Liaise with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to ensure transactions are accurately processed
What we’ll love about you:
- Proven experience in an accounting practice, or combined with commercial experience in an accounting team
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Excel
- Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Knowledge of financial reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to display initiative, identify issues and make recommendations
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Accounting
- CPA or CA or near completion status
