Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful applicant will be a hands-on, energetic team player who wants a full-time position, the learning curve, the experience and the opportunities that this position will offer!
Duties and responsibilities involve but not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of all company legal entities and their consolidation.
- Preparing month-end allocation of costs to departments, divisions etc
- Accurately calculate all accruals, prepayments and provisions
- Support the timely and accurate completion of period-end close
- Maintain the fixed asset records of the company.
- Evaluate and implement processes for efficiency and automation; work with operational team to find workable solutions.
- Provide feedback on all reporting-related queries from management and Group Finance team.
- Creating ad-hoc reporting on financial performance
- Identification and resolution of accounting issues arising and maintaining financial reporting expertise in specialist accounting areas.
- Provide inputs to the financial controls processes to ensure that appropriate control environment is maintained and to provide support to the implementation of controls and process improvements.
- Provide support to the annual and long-term planning process by providing financial analysis of historical data.
- Support the of annual audit process.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
The candidates we are looking for:
- Proven experience in providing high quality customer care
- Proven experience in an accounting role
- Proficient written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task & experience in working well under pressure
- Vast knowledge in accounting, high operational knowledge in accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Working towards/completion of CA/CPA or CIMA is an advantage
