We launched in Australia in early 2022, providing in-store and ecommerce payment solutions to around 60,000 Australian businesses. The Opportunity

This is a fantastic chance for an experienced Melbourne based Accountant to establish a career within the Payments industry. The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance Operations and Tax, you'll play a vital role inside this rapidly growing and high calibre team. You'll work across a broad range of activities including General Ledger, transactional accounting, taxes preparation & audit. You'll also contribute to process improvement projects, work with SAP daily and gain extensive commercial experience within the exciting industry that powers most of the commercial activity on the planet.

Key responsibilities include

• General Ledger Accounting & Reporting
• Capturing journal entries (accruals and manual entries, posting of daily, month end & concur journals into SAP )
• Recording bank statements on a daily basis (plus reconciliation and clearing)
• Submitting month end data and ensuring year end audits in relation to GL are on a timely basis
• Overseeing monthly transactional accounting ensuring quality and compliance with corporate policy
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Preparing the IFRS16, Fixed assets entries, depreciation & reconciliation, GST preparation, FBT preparation, Tax Return declaration, Financial Statement
• Identifying and being involved in process improvement projects

Required skills and experience

• Several (5+ minimum) years of commercial experience in a similar role
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and database management
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and skills
• CA / CPA qualified or recognised equivalent
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Mature enough to work autonomously, collaborative enough to work well with the team
• Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
• Professional work ethic, intelligence and self-awareness
