AddressIt’s game day! We’re on the lookout for a highly organised, detail-oriented individual to step into the role of Financial Accountant.
As a Financial Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the preparation of robust financial information and reports for our management and board. Your readiness to embrace challenges and your expertise will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards and requirements.
Your key responsibilities:
- Complete external audit requirements, including statutory financial statements.
- Execute monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow and analyse variances.
- Establish coding requirements for group structure and consolidation.
- Consolidate related entities and provide monthly reporting.
- Prepare inter-company reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions and balances.
- Review monthly reconciliations with appropriate documentation.
- Handle Business Activity Statements and compliance.
- Assess and work closely with finance stakeholders in relation to the adoption of new accounting standards including the documentation of accounting changes, process and/or system impacts and change implementations.
- Process fortnightly payroll and related reporting.
- Develop, communicate, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
- Provide support and mentorship to the finance team.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
What you will bring:
- CPA or CA qualified.
- 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
- Demonstrated experience consolidating and preparing financial accounts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- A team player mentality and ability to juggle priorities like a pro.
