About the RoleThe Financial Accounting Section within the Financial Services Branch, Finance Group is looking for APS 6
Financial Accountants to deliver on the following responsibilities:
Duties- Undertake accurate and timely complex journal preparation and reconciliations
- Support the monthly and annual reporting to the Department of Finance
- Prepare high-quality financial statements work papers
Skills and Qualifications- Knowledge of and experience in the Commonwealth public sector financial accounting framework is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated technical experience in the relevant areas.
- Demonstrated experience using and maintaining financial systems (e.g. SAP FI/CO and TM1) is highly desirable.
What's on offerThe successful candidate will notionally be offered a 5-month hourly rate contract at the APS6 level. This position is based in Canberra.As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy.
