Job Description:OverviewWorking as an integral part of the Platforms team you will provide analysis of business requirements to produce Solution design and Functional Specifications for required system changes. Assist the business with clarifying requirements and identifying alternative solutions. Support the Development and Test team members throughout the System Development Life Cycle.As a Senior Technical Correspondence Consultant, you will also act as a mentor for less experienced technical staff in the team. You will collaborate with Product, internal and with external stakeholder as necessary to promote correspondence platform capabilities that can meet their current requirements and identify opportunities for further enhancements to meet evolving client needs.Key Accountabilities and main responsibilitiesStrategic Focus
  • Collaborate with Product Team to facilitate technical solution outcomes. Collaborate towards RFP preparation and presentation with internal and external stakeholders. Participate Client Facing consultation.
  • Work with vendors and internal environment/system support teams to ensure the CCM system architecture is designed to utilise the full potential of all CCM platform components.
  • Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to generate maximum value for the clients and Link.
Operational Management
  • Ability to interact and communicate successfully with business partners, technology team, partners, offshore, and professional services. Collaborating and delivering to project plans and outcomes.
  • Regularly seek feedback from our stakeholders and external clients on our technology roadmap and service and provide insights and actions to continuously innovate and improve.
  • Continue to learn and develop skills in product development innovation to implement new ideas and practices. Consider a human centred design approach.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams driving projects from ideation to launch.
  • Analyse Business Requirement Documents to identify technical solutions in consultation with the Product and IT Architects considering all databases, application, business process and system implications.

Governance & Risk
  • e2e Governance & Oversight of SDLC Practices. Risk Manager, calling out delivery challenges, constraints and mitigation plans ensuring customers outcomes in timely manner.
  • Ensure key performance indicators are measured, analysed, and accurately reported to stakeholders for incidents of all priorities.
  • Take a lead on the management of risk, dependencies and issues associated with tech delivery.
  • Manage audit requirements and any associated actions.
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Analyse Business Requirement Documents to identify technical solutions in consultation with the Product and IT Architects considering all databases, application, business process and system implications.
  • Consult with key Business Stakeholders to provide expertise, and to seek clarification on, Business Requirements & Solution.
  • Provide specialist expertise on a specification and solution design to developers and test analysts for all supported systems.
  • Arrange and chair Business and Technical meetings, where required, to facilitate technical solution outcomes.
  • Collaborate towards RFP preparation and presentation with internal and external stakeholders. Participate Client Facing consultation.
  • Complete Functional Specifications and/or Technical Specifications.
  • Complete Traceability matrixes as part of Solution Design alignment with Business Requirements and other IT delivery teams, as required.
  • Contribute to solution decisions with the solution consultants to reach the right solution.
  • Ensure solution design meets business requirements and solution is understood by Technical Development and Test Teams.
  • Work with vendors and internal environment/system support teams to ensure the CCM system architecture is designed to utilise the full potential of all CCM platform components.
  • Regularly review best practices and identify opportunities to evolve in line with changing client needs and new products on the market.
  • Regularly review security, legal and compliance processes to ensure the CCM platform meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Perform peer review and sign-off of business and technical SDLC deliverables for other team members where appropriate.
  • Accurate and regular time and task recording to ensure effort expended on tasks can be monitored and reported against.
  • Assist with any of the SDLC Dev & testing phases to provide clarifications and respond to enquiries.
  • Assist with escalated Production Support issues and conduct root cause analysis. Implement controls and measures to avoid similar issues.
  • Investigate and consult on pragmatic alternatives for short, medium- and long-term solutions to a problem.
  • Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvements to processes and procedures within the team and greater IT group.
  • Manage and balance client and stakeholder expectations and report and escalate where needed.
  • Work and collaborate with third and/or vendor parties to deliver integrated system solutions.
  • Logging and accessing technical solutions within the JIRA database and thoroughly documenting the status of all client liaisons and communications.
  • Where required act as a mentor for less experienced technical analysts, including developing and delivering training.
  • Cross skill the Correspondence team to ensure Business and Technical knowledge is shared.
  • Provides support for customers, customer partners, and early release partners including workarounds, troubleshooting, bug fixes.
  • Serves as backup for product support as needed.
  • 7+ Years of demonstrable high competency as Technical Analyst or equivalent role (Intermediate level).
  • Business and Technical Analysis experience and/or product knowledge in Superannuation, Insurance, Managed Funds and Registry Services highly desirable.
  • 3+ years development experience preferable
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Solid knowledge of APIs and Webservices is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud based IT solutions (Azure) is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of xml data schema structure, particularly repeating data elements.
  • Strong understanding of coding principles such as using variables, loops, conditions, data arrays etc
  • Focus on efficient development practices, ie reusable modular components, soft-coding where possible etc
  • Ability to prepare and execute test cases for unit testing code changes.
  • Experience with using CCM software an advantage.
  • Experience with coding in Java/Groovy language an advantage
  • Experience with webservices and using webservice tools like SOAPUI an advantage.
  • A good understanding of structured project delivery methodologies
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance and recommendations on solution designs and project improvements.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and be able to work and deliver high quality documentation in a challenging environment.
  • Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external clients.
  • Exceptional analytical skills in order to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and provide constructive input into the development of appropriate technical solutions.
  • Sound understanding of IT application and system design best practice.
  • Experience working in an outsourced or offshored environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong team spirit
  • Adaptability to working hours in order to meet business needs.
  • Tertiary Qualifications or equivalent experience in IT or a related field.
