Our client, a privately owned company with an annual revenue exceeding $1 billion, is in search of an ambitious and motivated Financial Accountant to support their senior accountants and wider team. Key responsibilities include the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial reports, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and active involvement in diverse financial processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, fiscal and statutory requirements, and internal/external audit compliance.
- Process inventory transactions in SAP.
- Contribute to the completion of weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Participate in end-of-month processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and relevant reporting requirements.
- Assist in EOM forecast information uploads, tax reporting requirements, and annual budget processes.
- Collaborate with finance and operation teams to support operational process improvements.
- Actively partner with stakeholders on sites to drive business performance and achieve division goals.
- Assist in gathering information for the annual statutory audit and handle other ad hoc requirements as directed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant tertiary qualification (accounting, finance).
- Working towards CA/CPA qualification.
- Financial accounting experience necessary.
- Proven experience completing balance sheet reconciliations.
- High-level organizational skills.
- Diverse computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint essential, SAP highly regarded).
- Intermediate Excel skills – PivotTable, VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of relevant fiscal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Salary circa $80k-$85k plus super
