With 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, this innovative company based in the S E suburbs of Melbourne, specialises in the design and manufacture of various automotive products designed to improve driving safety and comfort.
The Role:
Reporting to the CFO you will support and assist in the direction of the organisation’s accounting functions, ensuring compliance obligations are met at all times whilst continually supporting management in areas such as, continuous improvement, policy development, and management analysis. Duties included:
- Providing financial information to management by compiling monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts and other reports accompanied by relevant analysis and commentary
- Preparing fortnightly cashflow forecasts.
- Managing weekly banking and FX transactions
- Conducting various reconciliations, analysis, and expense reviews
- Fixed Assets Register Management
- Managing the project cost reporting process
- Supporting the annual budget process
- Overseeing the financial transactions accuracy, incl. the AP and AR data entry
- Timely lodgement of BAS, FBT, payroll tax returns and support with other regulatory compliance, such as work cover, payroll and insurance
- Supporting the annual statutory accounts preparation, financial audit and filing as required
- Supporting the group consolidation activities
- Assisting in various system implementation and report creation initiatives
- Supporting policy development, continuous improvement processes, analysis and projects as directed by the management.
- Other administrative tasks and department support as required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business (accounting preferred)
- High attention to detail, problem-solving, research and analytical skills

- Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers both internal and external
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills with strong customer focus

- Knowledge of US financials will be highly regarded as workload will be predominately for the company's North American site
