Financial Accountant

The Emeritus Research business is growing from strength to strength: to support this, we need a Financial Accountant to join our team.

The things you'll be doing:  

• Making sure the integrity of our Accounting Systems is always maintained
• Assist in the preparation of periodical financial reports 
• Managing the Fixed Assets Registers across our business entities
• Keeping our suppliers happy through accurate payments aiming to have nothing overdue
• Reconciling the balance sheet accounts monthly and completing all corrective entries
• Getting the direct and indirect taxes processed and paid on time
• Developing great communication with all the teams in the business as well with our external stakeholders
• Being a great team player, willing to learn and ready to jump in to support your team

And a bit about your skills and experience like: 

• An Accounting degree or equivalent (exceptional candidates with relevant experience will be considered)
• Microsoft Office including Excel and the willingness to learn new systems. Prior experience with Xero will be highly regarded.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise projects to meet tight deadlines
• High level of attention to detail and good record keeping skills a must
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong administrative, numeracy, verbal and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision
