Role Overview
Reporting to the APAC Head of Finance, This Financial Accounting Manager will lead all internal and external reporting requirements across ANZ. This will involve leading and developing a large team to delivery timely and insightful reporting. As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will have end to end accountability to delivering month end across a complex network of sites for Australia and NZ as well as leading the new finance system implementation and transformation across the whole organisation.
There is a huge opportunity for you to lead a key project and be highly visible to the executive leadership team across APAC. Specifically, this will include partnering with the ELT, operational stakeholders and external parties in building a core analytical and best in class finance function. Beyond this key project, as the Financial Accounting Manager you will have an opportunity to standardise and automate core finance processes and revolutionise their operating model for the growth to come.
Responsibilities
As the Financial Accounting Manager you will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a large accounting team
- Delivery of month end reporting across ANZ
- Delivery of all corporate reporting and compliance matters
- Deliver insights through business partnering with Operational Stakeholders
- Drive process and operational improvements for impending system implementation
- Ensure on-going SOX compliance as per US requirements
- Fixed Assets Management
- Lead pre and post system implementation requirements, structure changes and delivery.
Candidate Profile
You are CA/CPA qualified with significant experience in leading and managing teams. Ideally you have depth of experience in delivering month end and statutory reporting in a U.S organisation or similar exposure to a well-structured environment with critical deadlines.
You also demonstrate significant experience in delivering finance system implementations for systems like SAP, Dynamic 365 and/OR Oracle. Your strength lies in leading teams, effective communication and your ability to drive value through process excellence. You have led complex consolidations of results and have a natural flair at engaging with operational stakeholders. Your technical accounting skills are impeccable and this demonstrated through your experience from large & complex environments.
