About the company

Theo Agelis Constructions is SA’s leading residential footing contractor and is seeking an experienced Finance Administration Officer to join our team in a permanent part-time position. The successful candidate will be working alongside the General Manager and will be supported by our finance team and CFO.

This role is ideally suited for a high-calibre candidate possessing excellent interpersonal skills, a commitment to customer service, and a pragmatic, can-do attitude.

Duties include:

  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Processing fortnightly payroll, including PAYG, Superannuation and Work Cover
  • Assist with budgeting, cashflow management and forecasting activities.
  • Utilise Xero and other accounting software to accurately record financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, along with maintaining the integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare financial reports to support management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in Finance role
  • Proficiency in using Xero, Xero Projects and Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Experience in processing payroll, including superannuation and PAYG.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible approach
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and efficiently with minimum supervision and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and GST legislation relating to Tax invoices.
  • Construction Industry experience desirable but not essential.
