Its core activities comprise:
- Developments: property construction and development, focussing on convenience and retail sites and bespoke commercial projects.
- Property: ownership and management of a diversified real estate portfolio including retail, commercial and industrial properties.
- Family office: investment and administration.
- Motorsport: operation of The Bend and Mallala motorsport precincts.
About the role
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting Peregrine’s organic and inorganic growth. The role involves the review and pursuit of investment opportunities across (i) the real estate portfolio and (ii) equity investment, as well as various analytical and evaluative tasks including due diligence and feasibility modelling. The Financial Analyst also facilitates positioning Peregrine for expansion through capital structuring initiatives involving debt and equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake a wide range of complex analysis and evaluation activities relating to risk issues, and financial feasibility of major projects and investments.
- Identify, analyse, and develop the rationale for growth opportunities for the business, including capital structuring.
- Analyse and provide technical support for transactions, investments, and business improvement initiatives.
- Source relevant information, analyse with rigour and creatively to develop insights and solve problems.
- Develop financial and value assessment models and maintain complex data sets.
- Collaborate and engage effectively with team members and stakeholders across the business.
- Prepare detailed information requests and undertake analysis to support M&A/investment due diligence activities.
- Develop and maintain financial models which can be used to summarise, consolidated or separate historical and forecast financials into alternative perimeters.
- Contribute to the capital planning phase of forecasting, planning and budgeting processes.
- Contribute to the development of reporting to support the functional performance of Peregrine.
- Any other duties as requested from time to time.

Key skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CA / CPA / CFA qualified or directly relevant job experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in banking, transaction services, accounting or consulting.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Sharp analytical skills with a knack for turning numbers into actionable insights.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
