The company is a listed company and one of Australia's largest energy companies. This role is based in Adelaide CBD and would be a 6-months contract while a permanent headcount is being sourced for separately. You would be responsible for internal management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and supporting the external financial reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries.
about the job
In this role you will be involved in management reporting and financial analysis such as preparation of month-end reports on key metrics, and delivery to key stakeholders, and conduct in depth financial analysis, including but not limited to, financial modeling, variance analysis, and trend forecasting to support decision-making processes. In addition, you will be involved in budgeting and forecasting by assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working collaboratively with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals. You will also have to prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for action.

This role reports to the Finance Manager, and will be in a wider Group Finance department.
skills & requirements for the job
You must possess a Bachelor's qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or an equivalent field, as well as professional certification in CA/CPA. You should also come equipped with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or financial accounting, preferably within a large corporation. SAP knowledge is critical in this role.
