The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
In your new role, you will be delivering comprehensive financial reporting and analysis, to enable informed decision-making and optimising Transgrid’s financial performance. This role contributes to the organisation's success by aiding effective cost management, aligning expenses with forecasted targets, and supporting various business units.
Responsibilities also include providing insightful commentary to the Leadership Team based on financial reports, with a focus on project-based perspectives, month-end considerations, accruals, and cost allocations. Additionally, the Finance Analyst generates standard financial reports and performance dashboards for operational and capital expenses, alongside non-financial metrics, comparing actuals to projected outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong stakeholder communication skills, embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and demonstrates the ability to work independently while effectively prioritising tasks.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/commerce or related Field
- Studying towards CA/CPA
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Advanced skills in Microsoft excel, Power Point and TM1 or Oracle knowledge would be advantageous.
- Experience in Infrastructure or in industries with a capital-intensive focus
- Demonstrated experience in improving business processes.
- Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, make recommendations and meet deadlines.
