THE OPPORTUNITY & IMPORTANCE OF THIS ROLE
This is a newly established position and your role will be pivotal in driving the company's growth and success. The individual who fills this role will have ownership and responsibility for its development and impact on company objectives.
You will be the cornerstone of our client’s financial operations, responsible for analysing and interpreting all financial data across our client’s business units and departments. Your insights and recommendations will directly impact strategic decision-making, contributing to the overall success and growth of our client’s company.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Analyse and interpret financial data from all business units and department leaders.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and projections.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct variance analysis and performance evaluations to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Assist in budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and presentations as required.
ABOUT YOU
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excel in dissecting financial data to drive strategic decisions.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Possess a CPA or CA qualification (or studying to obtain).
- Proven experience in financial analysis (preferably in the construction industry).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
