What am I going to do?
Energy accounting lies within one of our four solutions: data insights and analytics. As energy contracting, forecasting and budgeting become increasingly complex, energy accountants manage clients’ energy spend, interrogate their data and deliver accurate, insightful reports. Within the Energy and Financial Analyst role, you will support these objectives through:
- invoice validation and energy retailer management
- sustainability data management and reporting
- operational energy monitoring and optimisation
- provision of tailored financial reports and accruals
- budgeting and forecasting.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
There isn’t a typical background for successful people in this role. However, consistently our team members have strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills and the ability to confidently engage and consult with internal and external stakeholders. Yes, you’ll need to be good with numbers and Excel spreadsheets but your interest and passion in sustainability and making a difference is also important to us.
Diverse teams represent sustainable teams:
We know that candidates from marginalised communities often don’t apply for positions unless they can confidently tick all the boxes. At Energetics we understand that transitioning to a low carbon world will require innovative and creative thinking which we can only achieve with a diverse team. Even if you don’t fully meet the criteria, we are keen to hear how your background and experience can bring value to Energetics and our clients.
