The Directors and General Manager aim to appoint a Financial and Project Accountant who can refine the project costing and financial reporting to result in improved, more timely and insightful information at board and Project management levels.
The Financial and Project Accountant will assume responsibility for the data integrity of financial reports, project costing, performance analysis, cash flow forecasting and profit projections.
Specific responsibilities of the Financial and Project Accountant will include;
- Monthly financial statements preparation
- Cashflow monitoring and reporting
- Accurate and clear management reporting
- Taking the role of “trusted right-hand” commercial adviser to the MD
- Tax compliance (in conjunction with the external tax accountants)
- Managing and implementing improved project costing and financial systems
- Bespoke reporting as required by the MD and GM
- Financial input to board level strategy decisions
Clear experience and competency with financial accounting, management reporting or project costing will be required. Ideally, this experience will have been in cost focused industries such as energy, mining, engineering, construction or manufacturing.
The position will require CA or CPA qualifications and a minimum five years of relevant experience.
