Be part of a new team in our Carer Services at Uniting and use your financial literacy skills to make a meaningful difference to carers and carer recipients.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our unpaid carers, building their longer-term capability to budget, to manage their money better and to make informed financial decisions.
You will also deliver financial literacy education and one-on-one coaching to our individual carers with a particular focus on the financial implications of caring.
What’s on offer.This position has been reviewed under the Financial Counselling Victoria guidelines.
In addition to base salary (SCHADS Level 4) and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.
We offer a hybrid (WFH) and flexible work environment and can set you up to work remotely for to 2 days per week, with the other days at our Blackburn office or another Uniting office location.
There is also the option to increase your annual leave entitlements through our purchase leave program.
We have an active social committee in the team and enjoy celebrating occasions, regular team lunches and social events.
About youYour well-honed financial literacy and communication skills are key to success in this role, enabling you to build rapport and confidence quickly with consumers.
Ideally you will understand the challenges faced by carers and carer recipients and have a
Tertiary qualifications in either Finance, Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, Community Services Development (or equivalent).
