Position Overview: As the Financial Controller at Alliance Automation, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial activities of the organisation. You will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic guidance to drive financial growth and stability.
Your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Analyse financial performance, identify key trends, and provide insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Monitor budget adherence and provide recommendations for cost optimisation and resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financials including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and supporting month end reconciliations.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow by monitoring receivables, payables, and liquidity positions & liaison with group treasury.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals (5) across the AP, AR and Payroll Functions, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a similar role, preferably in the automation/or project management space.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
