The Role
This is a great opportunity for a high-performing accounting professional looking for an opportunity to "make their mark" in a high-growth private company.
This role is a direct report to our CFO and finding the right person will be critical to us achieving our ambitious growth targets. The core mission of this role will be to own the financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, insurance, budget and cash flow preparation and the continued development of internal systems.. This is truly a career defining role for the right candidate.
Immediate key responsibilities of the role will be:
- Develop and implement financial strategies and financial systems to support the company's growth objectives
- Develop budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Lead financial reporting activities, including the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for management and external stakeholders
- Manage month-end closing processes, profit & loss, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals for the Group
- Manage and support the payroll function for all business subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely processing of pay
- Manage preparation of monthly Group Management Reports
- Management of accounts receivable and payable function
- Preparation of YE statutory financial statements and co-ordinate YE external audit process
- Prepare and meet deadlines for BAS returns, FBT returns, PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation and other statutory obligations
- Manage group insurance compliance
- Preparation of yearly budget for Group
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making by senior management
- Other ad hoc items as instructed by Chief Financial Officer
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CA or CPA qualified
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and financial reporting
- Systems strength is essential
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics BC 365 is desirable
- Unrivalled attention to detail required
- Excellent organisational & communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
