We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to lead our finance team in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management across our diverse operations. In addition to leading the finance function, the Financial Controller will play a key role in the implementation of a new comprehensive technology upgrade, with phase one including new project management, finance, and payroll solutions.

Oversee all financial and treasury activities and systems across multiple entities, playing a pivotal role in maintaining timely and accurate financial information. - Lead and manage the finance team, fostering effectiveness, engagement, and respect.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and strategies.
- Manage cash flows and financial reporting obligations, including statutory requirements.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting processes.
- Research and address technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, policies, and procedures.
- Build a cohesive team and develop individual capabilities through ongoing mentoring and coaching.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (or similar), plus CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior accounting/financial management role, preferably in the residential construction and/or landscaping industry.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring.
- Specialist knowledge in taxation, financial reporting, and/or audit.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on overcoming obstacles and managing competing priorities.
- Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement of finance systems, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in critical and analytical thinking and trend analysis.
- Customer-oriented approach with a focus on building positive relationships.
