SalaryAre you looking for a new challenge as a Financial Controller?This Financial Controller opportunity is part of a growing commercial construction company with excellent professional growth opportunities. You will report directly to the CFO and partner closely with a range of project managers and other stakeholders across the business. You will also coach and mentor two direct reports.The successful candidate for the Financial Controller position will ideally come from a construction industry background and have existing knowledge / experience working within a project based business.This full time permanent position is based in Sydney Olympic Park (parking available) and is offering a range of $160,000 - $190,000 + super depending on the successful candidate's experience. This role will be based on site and you will work with a collaborative, vibrant and supportive team.The Key responsibilities for the Financial Controller include:
- Maintain the company’s finance records across several entities.
- Produce monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for the CFO. Reports include, management reports, reconciliations, preparing progress claims and invoicing.
- Responsible for BAS, IAS< superannuation, PAYG, FBT, etc.
- Partner closely with Project Managers and be in charge of project accounting.
- Coach and mentor two direct reports (Assistant Accountant & AP Officer)
- Reconcile Payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Preferable CA / CPA qualified.
- Experience working within the construction industry / project accounting is highly desired.
- Worked with a range of accounting ERP systems. Knowledgeable using MYOB is a bonus.
- Experience with budgeting and cash flows.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Highly motivated and have the ability to prioritize and work autonomy to meet deadlines.
