We are a boutique accountancy firm seeking an experienced payroll officer to join our growing practice as a part of a close team of 5 Bookkeepers, 12 Accountants and 6 support staff.
This is a part-time in-office position, 3 days per week (24 hours), with opportunity to increase hours in the future.
Candidate Attributes
We are seeking an individual with a very high attention to detail and the experience and knowledge necessary to confidently and independently complete the following duties, after appropriate introductory training:
- Process payroll; with knowledge in award rates, employer obligations, superannuation, various entitlements, STP reporting & year end finalisation, WorkCover and Payroll Tax obligations;
- Manage the day-to-day finance function for SME’s;
- Carry out the accounts payable function including invoice entry, supplier statement reconciliation, and the creation of batch payments;
- Reconcile accounts, including bank and credit cards;
- Reconcile inter-entity loans for group structures;
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers;
- Xero experience is a must. MYOB Essentials experience advantageous;
- Maintain client relations and assist with client queries; and
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel formula functions
