FinOps Contractor

Our client is a a leader in the financial services industry and they are looking for a seasoned FinOps to join them on an initial 6 month contract. 

The FinOps Contractor will work to define, establish and manage the financial management practices across the company's multi-cloud landscape with the goal to assist in realising the maximum business value.
  
Your primary responsibility will be to both identify and implement quick wins across Azure & AWS in order to optimise cloud costs.

Requirements:

• 5+ Years of demonstrated public cloud knowledge and experience (AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience and expertise with public cloud financial components/concepts, including but not limited to, cost & usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.
• Experience with establishing and/or operating cost optimisation initiatives across complex Platform & Cloud environments focusing on key levers.
• Experience with establishing cloud chargeback and/or showback for business units/projects to be accountable for their cloud usage/spend.
• Experience with interrogating billing/cost & usage data to create key cost insights and reports/dashboards across Cloud, License, Partner & Operational budgets.
• Strong financial/data analysis and reporting skills.
• Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. engineering, finance, technology and business/executive stakeholders) to achieve financial/cost management outcomes.
• Experience in managing quality assurance for delivery across teams and playing a key role in earning customer trust and references.
